Buchen, Germany: The NC 3000 Nick Cutter (NC) is the latest added specimen preparation unit to MonTech’s instrument portfolio. The NC is specifically designed for slitting samples for tear testing in accordance with IO 34 B, ISO 34 C and ASTM D624 B.

Any of the three configurations above are easily interchangeable within seconds. Once a die is changed, the unit contains an integrated adjustment mechanism.

The operation is made simple for any level of user. First, open the sample cutter and position the test specimen accordingly. Next secure the cover and press down on the handles. For operator safety, the NC cannot cut when the cover isn’t closed. Next, open up the cover and remove the nicked sample.
