Calibration and Preventive Maintenance Service Technician

This position is responsible for performing calibration and preventative maintenance services, emergency repairs, and installations of analytical instruments at customer facilities. Our Calibration Field Service Technicians are accountable for customer satisfaction, profitability, prompt and accurate reports, maintaining calibration standards, and premier customer service.

Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities
  • Repair test equipment by removing and replacing defective components.
  • Perform onsite calibration and preventative maintenance of customer equipment utilizing company procedures, OEM specifications, and/or industry reference standards
  • Maintain maintenance records and provide service report to supported customers.
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained including best industry safety practices
  • Maintain a high level of technical knowledge and skill
  • Promote new service accounts as well as maintaining existing accounts
  • Supports the sales department and the business by maintaining professional business ethics and ensuring customers are treated with efficiency, courtesy, and respect
  • Ensures all paper work complies with all Bagan Company, ISO 9001, and ISO 17025 requirements
Education - Experience – Qualifications
  • Must demonstrate ability to make sound judgments

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule format
  • Must be conscientious, detail oriented and customer focused
  • Must demonstrate ability to get along with diverse personalities

  • Must work well under pressure
  • Must demonstrate good math skills including basic algebra
  • Must demonstrate ability to get along with diverse personalities
  • Computer literate including basic typing and keyboarding skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word and Outlook
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Management Team
  • Demonstrate ability to find common ground and demonstrate among management, colleagues and peers
  • Ability to apply problem analysis and decision-making concepts to provide practical solutions
  • Ability to speak a second language, Spanish preferred, a plus
  • Minimum 2 year degree or equivalent military training or experience
  • 1-3 years field service experience in electronics or process control is a big plus
  • Must be able and willing to travel
  • Must demonstrate Microsoft Office Experience - Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Must pass our ISO 17025 calibration certification training program
